HEATHER

Today, as noted in THIS POST, we are doing something new and asking that you cry out to the Lord for Heather, specifically, in addition to your time spent praying over the twins and family. Ask God for words of encouragement, scripture, dreams, visions and thoughts to share with Heather. Then come back to this blog and add your comments below so that she can read them and be blessed.

Thank you for pouring out.

    "Psalms 139:13For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

    14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
    were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are amazing and so is your work. We can only imagine the amount of miricales you grant each and every day. Mitch and Heather recently was able to witnes an amazing miricale, the miricale of LIFE. Even though Jaron and Teagon where born 15 weeks early you have granted them them ability of life. That alone is an amazing gift. Father, I know you hear the out cries of each and every person that prays for Heather and family. I am also crying out for you to provide the strength, wisdom and love for Heather that only you can provide. I ask that she is able to stand on her two feet through this and be the amazing woman and mom you have designed her to be. I aske when she is too weak to stand on her own that you are standing right there to hold her up. I ask you to provide her with all the questions she needs to ask and the wisdom she needs to make the most difficult decisions she faces now. Jesus, I ask you to continue to provide the support form her family and friends to allow Heather to devote each and every moment she needs to devote to Jaron and Teagan. Father I also ask that when Heather needs to take her time away and rest that you allow her to rest and truely rest and recharge her. Father I ask you to help to be with Mitch and HEather as they are on this road ahead they find strength in you and in each other and to allow them to develope a strong bond with you and with each other. I ask you to help Heather be able to pull the strength when she doesn't think she has anymore to spend each and every available moment with Kaylan through this time.

Father I ask that you conintuely place this family and medical staff on everyone's mind and in their prayers.

"Mitch and Heather- you are continuely in our thoughts and prayers! On saturday Jeremy's cousin and his wife (corey and sarah landis) welcomed their twin girls into the world at womens and babies. Both girls are in the NICU. I'm sharing this because I thought maybe you could find encouragement thru eachother's famlies. They are believers as well.
We continue to trust our Creator to work miracles in your lives!

  4. Heather,

Praying for you today the Lord kept speaking "wisdom." It is something that I am personally pursuing Him about and so I kept saying "enough about me already God... what do you want to say to Heather?" Apparently, I was being selfish, thinking it was ALL ABOUT ME, because God had to beat it over my head that he wasn't speaking it for me today he was speaking it for YOU.

As I continued to pray and read the word I was often reminded of how easily God gives wisdom. He LOVES to give wisdom to those who ask. The proverbs are full of that very point.

And that is what I think He wants you to know today. That he will gladly provide Wisdom to you as it is needed. You do not have to rely on your own strength, the medical "experts", or statistic. All you need to do is ask for wisdom and He will give it. He loves doing just that. So in all the decisions, in the newness of your life as a mommy of 3 (2 of whom are in the NICU), in new schedules, medical decisions, and every little detail in between God wants to help and he has all the wisdom you need, ready for the taking! HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!??!!!

    Proverbs 8:17 (speaking of wisdom)

"I love those who love me, and all who seek me find me."

    James 1:5

"If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

    Love you.

  5. Heather,
I am Sherry Gingrich, Mitch knows my husband Rod. I'm not sure if you are aware, but I have been in a very similar situation as you about 2 years ago! My twin boys were born early at W&B and they had a "big" brother only 16 months older! I have been praying specifically for YOU as soon as i heard/read the news Friday morning. There is so much I'd like to say, but not all at once. First of all, you are probably finding this out, but the NICU staff at W&B is amazing! They are very professional, gentle, and good at what they do. That was a comfort for me when i couldn't be there. Kaylan is in good hands, and will not remember any of this! Adam (my oldest) was passed around quite a bit, but has never mentioned anything about it. Don't feel guilty about not being w/ her as much, you have a loving family. And lastly, God WILL give you the GRACE you need, when you need it!!! I look back and cannot believe that i came through that! But it wasn't me. God equipped me with everything neccessary to go to the NICU every day, hear good news and bad, and come home and still be a mommy and wife. I give God all the credit for that, and I'm claiming those things for you too.
You have cute little babes. I'm amazed they need minimal amt of oxygen. a great sign!

  6. Heather,

As I sat and prayed for you today, I thought of our conversation last night about the meaning of names. I looked around online for the name Heather. I read that Heather is a kind of flower that can flourish in a barren land. Along with is was the verse...
"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you. Therefore, do not be anxious ...Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:28-33

I'm sure there may be other meanings as well :) but that spoke to me. You truly are someone that radiants Christ's love through everything you do.... even in this time of uncertainty and "surprise". My prayer is that when you wake each morning you will be able to place the days worries and joys in the Lord's hands...That you will gain a deep understanding of what Jesus is clothing you with for that day.

God, thank you so much for your beautiful daughter Heather. Thank you for blessing her with 3 amazing children. I ask that you rid any fear or anxiousness from her. Remind her of your great love for her in these babies. Allow her to find rest in your presence.

    I love you Heather!

  10. My dear sister,
Just left being with you at the NICU- thanks for taking me in tonight to see their sweet little faces. I love them so much. I love you so much. You are an amazing woman. I was encouraged just standing beside you tonight and seeing the incredible peace and strength the Lord has given you. I've been thinking about the fact that many times (at least for me) I pray the Lord would give me more faith, more strength, wisdom etc. but I've realized that He doesn't just "zap" us with those things...He leads us into opportunities to have greater faith or strength...this has been one of those times. You've always been an amazing sister, friend, daughter, and wife...and then of course close to 2 years ago it became evident that you are an amazing mom as well. It's been such a joy to watch you raise up Kaylan and now it will be a new adventure in mothering with Jaron & Teagan...they are so blessed to call you "mama".
Today specifically when I prayed for you I just asked the Lord for an INCREASE. An increase in your rest, your physical and emotional strength, your walk with the Lord, your marriage, your relationship with Kaylan, encouragement to your heart and peace for your mind. He will do immeasurably, abundantly MORE than we could ever imagine.
I love you Heather- you inspire me.

    1 Thessalonians 1:4 (The Message)
It is clear to us, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put His hand on you for something special.

You are a special woman, with a very special and beautiful journey ahead.

    Your big sister,
    Carey
